Weaknesses: Can\'t keep track of where it is. Gets lost and suggest wrong turns. If you pull of to get gas or eat lunch, 50% of the time it sends you the wrong way on startup. The browse map feature is useless.
Summary: 3430There are some real bad algorithms in this unit or it would not get lost so much. If you lose the satellite signal when it comes back on it is confused, and it gives you bad directions. Garmin, you ought to put a delay between getting a satellite signal and starting directions. Also, the routes selected are often not the best, and when you try to override by putting extra way points using the browse map feature, the arrow jumps around and it is very difficult to get it on the point you want. Never pay much attention to the unit if you're in a parking lot, gas station, roadside pullover, or the ilk, as it will not give good directions on what way to go. Our experience is it points you the wrong direction half the time. Once it is confused it takes a long time to get back on track and keeps screaming "RECALCULATING", rather than saying "either you are lost or I am lost, please maintaining your course until I figure it out"
